It's a strange movie, it's very slow and deep in a way, but it's also very intense. "It's in five parts-each part is a different story with different actors in it. Story line? Lets let Cooper tell us in his own words: A fourth scene shows a skate boarder type masturbating his erect penis (extended scene graphically shown) at the orders of two animal like creatures. A third scene involves an onstage rape: unsimulated oral sex briefly shown as is the "d" of another actor. Penis of the actor with the targeted ass is clearly shown through the several-minute scene. Another scene with a young male actor who is fascinated with the ass of another cute actor, all taking place in the great outdoors. Cute young blond guy who is a prostitute who pretends to be dead while his client has sex with him. Extended scene has he plays with his meat, fully on display. Nudity and sex: Early scene has a completely erect penis on display courtesy of a cute young actor.
Author Dennis Cooper's first movie is all these things and more in this fairly twisted tale that follows the lives of 13 young people involved in strange sexual encounters. Highly recommended for both storyline and nudity. And hot male nudity? There's a graphic scene in season two that has Sinoway pulling down the boxers of very cute extra Ronald Louis Lopez to reveal the goods, but all the episodes, especially season 2, have hot guys on display.
All in all, you won't go wrong with this series if you are a fan of the gay genre. The episodes run around 10 minutes, which I wish they were a bit longer, maybe 15-20 minutes, but it does make for a fun, fast ride. Particularly fond of the acting of Marc Sinoway and lead Ben Baur, but all the cast does fantastic jobs. The series is for mature audiences as there is some frontal nudity and depictions of sex, but lends to the realness of the show. Very good acting, even by secondary cast members (such as the main character's straight co-worker who he takes underwear shopping in one episode). It is cleverly written, witty and a realistic look at modern gay life in NYC. I discovered this series recently and watched season one (2012, eight episodes) in a couple of evenings. A must to watch! Hats off to leads Ben Baur and Marc Sinoway for their acting skills. I highly recommend renting both seasons the first season's episodes are 10-14 minutes or so, but cleverly written, well acted and some nice graphic nudity scenes Season two, longer episodes, but more graphic nudity scenes of the hot young male actors. But he also shows the scene from Multiple Maniacs where Divine’s character is raped by a giant lobster! A perfect epitaph.Lots of male nudity of cute actors in both seasons of Hunting Season. He includes the completely tasteless clip from Eat Your Makeup in which Divine played Jacqueline Kennedy in a grotesquely amusing re-creation of the Kennedy assassination just two years after the event. Schwartz beautifully captures both the joyous nature of Divine’s flamboyant life and also the great sense of sheer enjoyment he had. Manager, Bernard Jay poignantly claimed that as Divine was at the peak of his career, he had at least died happily.
And he did deservedly become one and was just about to parlay his major underground success into the mainstream with a (non-drag) part in a nationally syndicated TV sitcom when he dropped down dead in Hollywood after a massive heart attack the very day before filming was due to start. In filmmaker Jeffrey Schwartz’s very upbeat documentary into this unique entertainer and character, we learn that Divine had always dreamt of being a movie star since he was a kid who had been picked in and bullied at school as being both effeminate and fat. Mark Strong as a particularly dashing MI6 agent and Matthew Goode as a fellow code-breaker, are equally strong. He’s ably supported by Keira Knightley as the feisty Joan Clarke a woman of great intellect who has to fight to the constraints of a society that devalues and oppresses women. Cumberbatch is pitch-perfect in his portrayal as Turing, portraying the strengths and vulnerabilities of a man with little social skills who is driven by his passion for his work and his intellect. The script, period detail and performances are all exemplary. Already garnering critical acclaim, it’s not hard to see why. With such a fascinating story and a stellar cast (Benedict Cumberbatch, Keira Knightley, Mark Strong, Matthew Goode, Charles Dance) this is a film that is destined to be a major success.
Based on the real-life story of legendary cryptanalyst Alan Turing, The Imitation Game portrays the nail-biting race against time by Turing and his brilliant team of code-breakers at Britain’s top-secret Government Code and Cypher School at Bletchley Park, during the darkest days of World War II.
